William Macek is the President and Founder of One GRAND Real Estate Corporation. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and active ePRO Realtor®.
In addition to his 14+ years of Real Estate experience, his background also includes a career in Financial Services with JPMorgan Chase.
William began his career in real estate as an investor, buying foreclosure's, Fixer-uppers, TLC's, & anything he felt he could make money on. "I would as a rule of thumb, try to find properties in the worst possible condition that no other Buyers would make an offer on, then I would negotiate MY price, buy the properties, work hard and long rehabbing them, then sell them for a Handsome and Well Earned Profit". It is during these early years that William learned many Brokerages and Top-Producing Agents were more than willing to cut their commissions because he was a repeat customer. "Commissions are Negotiable and not SET by State Law" says William, " however many commissions are SET by Big Brokerages and National Franchises that do not allow their Sales Agents to List for Less". "I worked for one of the Biggest Names in the Real Estate Industry as a Sales Agent and was not pleased with the fact that I had to list properties I owned at a 6% commission and then give 20% of that to my Big Name Brokerage for a house I sold in 12 days!"
In the Summer of 2005, William launched One GRAND Real Estate Corporation, a Full Service Brokerage that Specializes in the Listing, Marketing and Selling of Residential properties through the MLS, Multiple Websites and other Powerful Marketing Tools, all at an Innovative Pricing structure not offered by any other Real Estate Brokerage. "I felt that if I applied the same hard work ethics and quality service I did in my investment properties as I do Selling Homes than we would be a Successful Company".
